Industrial Production in the EU and the Eurozone in August 2009

According to the Eurostat, in August 2009 compared with July 2009, seasonally adjusted industria production grew:

a) by 0.9% in the Eurozone and
b) by 0.6% in the EU.

In July production had increased by 0.2% and 0.3% respectively.

In August 2009 compared with August 2008, industrial production declined:
a) by 15.4% in the Eurozone and
b) by 13.5% in the EU
